Monica Ragazzini, born in Forli, Italy is a photographer, visual artist based in Amsterdam. She graduated in 1994  from the Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche (ISIA) in Urbino. In 2002 she obtained the diploma (BA) in photography at the Rietveld Art Academy of Amsterdam and in 2016 the diploma (BA) at the Breitner Academy for teacher Visual Art and Education in Amsterdam.

Ragazzini is known for her flying dress series ‘Fractions’ which was published in several international magazines starting in 2004. Since then she has continued to work favoring her interest in clothes, fabrics and the effect of light on them. Her carefully chosen subjects are presented and photographed in an iconic manner, often isolated from their context immersed in a strange calm.
Her work has been published in several magazines, including WallPaper, Flash Art and British Journal of Photography and exhibited in Holland, Spain, Italy and Belgium.
Since 2009 you have been part of the Lang Art gallery in Amsterdam.
In February 2012 she was one of the ten finalists artist in a TV competition on Dutch television called “The New Rembrandt”.
She was a finalist in 2015 for the ‘Paribas BNL BPN Group Award’ during the MIA fair in Milan and winner of the ‘Muller Visual Award’ for the best theatrical poster in Holland.
In 2022 you obtained a ‘tech fellow’ scholarship at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam to carry out a research on ancient color contact printing methods.
